The Trade Repair Process

Repair shop receives customer device
Your workshop diagnoses the fault at first line and identifies that it requires component-level attention.
- Step 02
Device is sent to IT Defib
The complete device is booked in and sent to our lab with a track-and-trace courier (NZ Post preferred) — we need the whole device, not just the motherboard.
- Step 03
Advanced diagnostics performed
A $100 inspection fee is paid up front, then we isolate the exact fault using schematics, thermal imaging and precision test equipment.
- Step 04
Written quote provided
You receive a written quote after the inspection and before any repairs are carried out. If you approve the quote, the inspection fee is waived.
- Step 05
Repair completed
Once approved, component-level repair work is carried out and the board is fully tested under load.
- Step 06
Invoice issued
A clear, itemised invoice is issued covering diagnostics and repair work completed.
- Step 07
Repair returned
Once the invoice is paid in full, the repaired device is returned to your workshop, ready to go back to your customer.
Trade partners pay the same $100 inspection fee, up front, before any work is carried out. You'll receive a written quote after the inspection and before any repairs begin — and if you approve that quote, the inspection fee is waived. The repair invoice must be paid in full before the device is returned to your workshop.
